Learning Objectives:

After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:

  • explain risk factors for elderly patients developing postoperative delirium (POD),
  • recognize the characteristics of patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and
  • identify associations between OSA and POD described in this study
